Intro:
Creating a hosting package in cPanel/WHM is very straightforward and should only take around 5 minutes to do. Packages can be useful when using WHM as a reseller as it allows you to categorise your clients and assign certain parameters based on your clients. Packages can also be modified and deleted at any time on WHM so don’t worry if you ever need to change anything. So let’s get started.
Step by Step:
-
- First, you need to login to your WHM
- Select ‘Packages’
-
- Select ‘Add a Package’ from the options
-
- Fill out the package details. You can select the package Quota, Bandwidth, Email Accounts and more.
- Select ‘Add’ once you have finished saving the package.
- You can now apply this package to any domain that you have or add to your WHM account, below is a quick guide.
Add Package to User:
-
- First, you need to login to your WHM
- Select ‘Account Functions’
-
- Select ‘Create a New Account’ from the options
- Fill our the new account details and choose your new Package
- Select ‘Create’ to save and you have just created a new user for your package. You can see a list of all users in WHM by going to ‘Account Information’ > ‘List Accounts’
Conclusion:
You have now set up your first package and hopefully assigned it to a user. That’s it, you can sit back and relax or create another package.
